At St Teresa’s we promote and deliver a musical curriculum which develops confident, independent learners and results in the acquisition of knowledge through listening, singing, playing, evaluating and composing across a wide variety of periods, styles, genres and traditions. Children will have the opportunity to listen, perform and compose in a safe environment where they are prepared to take risks and express themselves. Music will promote pupil well-being, through active listening, performance and composition. All children have access to the music and are encouraged to participate fully regardless of academic ability, background or language. Music is a language thatcrosses barriers.
