Mission - Our mission is to turn concern into action! We are mini St. Vincent de Paul’s and we meet to pray, discuss and support how to make a difference in both our local and global community. We use the simple formula of: ‘See, think, do’ to find people in need and help them. We make decisions around: which charities to support; we help to organise a calendar of events; and we inform others in school. Some of our work has been to: collect donations for the local foodbank; organised support and wore green for the Macmillan Cancer charity; organised sets of rosary beads for classes; written letters to parents about our work; designed posters; taken the lead in liturgical prayers and we have so much more to give! This forthcoming year we are aiming to make big steps to achieve ‘The Life Simply’ CAFOD award. This will be St. Teresa’s response to the Church’s call to live simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the world’s poorest. We are following in the footsteps of Jesus who lived and preached a simple life, and to take action on the social and environmental crises we face today. We have a plan and we intend to do all the ‘little things well’ so that we can make our community a lovely place to be!
