Class 7 Bring Earth Science to Life

In Geography this week, Class 7 took part in an exciting hands-on lesson to explore how tectonic plates move and interact.

Using playdough as a creative model, the pupils demonstrated what happens when tectonic plates meet. They showed how plates can push together (converge), pull apart (diverge) and slide past each other, helping them understand how these movements can lead to the formation of mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes.

This practical activity brought a complex scientific concept to life, allowing pupils to visualise and better understand the dynamic nature of the Earth’s surface. It was fantastic to see such engagement, creativity and curiosity throughout the lesson.

Well done to Class 7 for their enthusiasm and excellent work!
