Some of our pupils from Class 9 had the wonderful opportunity to represent St Teresa’s at the opening of Darlington’s newly redeveloped train station facilities.

During the visit, the children listened attentively to a range of inspiring speeches delivered by representatives from Darlington Council, British Rail and the UK Government. They also enjoyed performances from local singers and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, making the event a truly memorable celebration.

A particular highlight of the morning was the chance to see the impressive steam locomotive Tornado, followed by an exciting journey on the LNER Azuma train to York and back—an experience the children thoroughly enjoyed.

The pupils had a fantastic morning and were a real credit to the school, demonstrating exactly what it means to be a representative of St Teresa’s through their behaviour, enthusiasm and attitude.

We are very proud of them all!
